By accusing Jews of weaponizing the racism and discrimination against them, graduate student unions render it impossible for Jewish union members to defend themselves or have illegal discriminatory practices acknowledged or addressed. A core feature of anti-Jewish racism are tropes that characterize Jews as all-powerful, lieing and manipulative, and therefore unable to be victimized. When a Jewish individual names the antisemitism enacted against them, the response is MORE antisemitism, further entenching it by accusing the victim of clamining antisemitism as a tool of manipulation. The result is that while on the receiving end of real discrimination, Jews are made even more vulnerable, further marginalized and disempowered to challenge the injustices committed against them. Anti-Jewish racism is therefore not taken seriously, and continues to perpetuate itself in an endless feedback loop as perpetrators of racism are not held accountable.
