neveragainus on June 7, 2026: “Tens of thousands of people marched through Toronto today for UJA Federation of Greater Toronto’s 2026 Walk with Israel, filling the streets in one of the largest public displays of Jewish pride and solidarity with Israel in the world.
The annual walk, first held in 1970, began at Temple Sinai Congregation and ended at Sherman Campus, bringing together Toronto’s Jewish community and allies at a time when Jews across Canada continue to face rising hostility, intimidation, and pressure to disappear quietly from public life.
They did the opposite.
Families, students, community leaders, Iranian Canadians, and supporters of Israel walked openly through Toronto carrying Israeli flags and standing with the Jewish people, with many framing the march not only as support for Israel, but as a refusal to let antisemitism define Jewish life in Canada.
In a climate where Jewish communities are so often told to lower their voices, hide their symbols, or explain their existence, Toronto answered with numbers, pride, and clarity.
